THE ARCHITECT

Following a Grammar School education in Nottinghamshire and a five year course studying Architecture in Yorkshire, I joined a private practice in a expanding new town in Hertfordshire. I qualified as an Architect and became a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1973 and in the following year I moved to Somerset.

In 1978 I teamed up with a young two-man practice and as an Associate, I assisted in its development into a successful and progressive commercial practice operating from Clifton in Bristol.

In the mid-eighties I formed a practice in a Somerset village, with the specific intention of offering an experienced, professional, friendly and personal service.

In 1989 I successfully completed a Diploma course in Architectural Conservation at Bristol University. Continuing Professional Development is a constituent of this ongoing process of education.
